Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire - Fall 2017
Path of Fire is the second expansion for the MMORPG Guild Wars 2. I was a designer on the story team for this expansion, working on combat encounters, narrative events, and gameplay mechanics for the main path campaign.
I owned four chapters for this expansion, quickly mastering an internal scripting system to create both open world and single player content. Among the highlights: I built a Pikminesque Mini-RTS to allow players fine control of undead followers during one story chapter, and created a dynamic, highly-populated party scene for the expansion's epilogue. I also created races for the expansion's back-of-box feature, mounts, and a open story structure for the introductory chapter that allowed players could tackle content in any order.
